2000 Mazda Protege LX will not start when key is turned.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to get some opinions on what you think might be going on with
my Mazda. When I turn the key the car won't start. At first thought I
thought it would be the starter but the car does not make a clicking noise or
anything when the key is turned. The battery is not bad as everything works
(radio, windows, AC, etc). I wonder if it is the ignition or something to
that effect. Any ideas?

Start with making sure you have power on the starter side of the fuse
block. If not, check the fuse for that circuit. Check that power is
going through the ignition switch... they can go too after a while.

Sometimes, if you have an automatic transmission, you need to double-check
whether the lever is firmly in Park. Otherwise, the puppy won't start.
